Jeez, how lucky are you that you have a top neighbour, i'd buy him a large bottle of something.

Gotta lock that bike every night now otherwise the one day you forget the thieving scum will notice. After a couple of weeks they'll start looking for an easier target. Get an alarm on it as well, they'll know your serious then.

theiving bar stewards
im glad you were lucky to have such a good neighbour
im in a very similar situation...the only difference is that my neighbour actually looks like a rot-weiler and sounds like one when he speaks
because he's a light sleeper if he hears any noise he's up like a shot and has already WARNED a few scroats off
as for chaining the bike up..if possible try and wrap your chain round your swingarm rather than the back wheel, that way then, they cant just remove the backwheel and lift the bike

Sorry to hear about your troubles NT looks like you have a Guid Neighbour there worth keeping onside.

Get yirself a disc lock for each disc and a good chain and anchor. Speak to all your neighbours and make them aware they might accept you fitting an anchor without permission from the council.

Make sure you phone the polis and let them know they cant help if they dont know.

Are you bringing the raptor up here after AR06.

You can pick up a cheap-ish CCTV system from places like Maplin these days. Ideal though is a night / low light sensitive one unless you have some street lighting. Record the theiving scum for the police. You can sometimes have the camera pointing out the window so no need to mount outside. They are tiny now.

My m8 has a very good semi-pro camera on the side of his house with an infra-red lamp which lights up the whole street at night. You can see would be theives pull up or drive past very slow in white van, point to their m8 and look up at the camera before buggering off. He had his bike stolen from the garage in the past. They basically pulled the garage door off with a tow truck and nicked the bike.
