Its ok, my music ranges from Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Elgar, Mozart etc to Venom, Slayer, Overkill etc. Basically a lot of stuff that makes metallica look like middle of the road music :P

I merely happen to be in a mellow mood today

Oh add in Hans Zimmers Gladiator track, the soundtrack to Master and Commander, and Klaus Doldingers soundtrack to Das Boot [highly recommended if you have never seen the film]

Oh and anything Mozarts requiem has been used - very, very effective in the soundtrack for Elizabeth

Going by this list the most popular Mozart used is parts of the Requiem and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.

Link if you know the movie, but not the music btw:

I love the film Amadeus...................not for the film itself, but for the feast of Mozart's music used throughout. And his Requiem............particularly Dies Irae and Confutatis............regularly gets played rather loudly here

Just for you, then

An old cowboy went riding out, one dark and windy day
Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way
When all at once a mighty herd of red eyed cows he saw
A-plowing through the ragged sky and up the cloudy draw

Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel
Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel
A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky
For he saw the Riders coming hard and he heard their mournful cry

Yippie yi Ohhhhh
Yippie yi yaaaaay
Ghost Riders in the sky

Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred, their shirts all soaked with sweat
He's riding hard to catch that herd, but he ain't caught 'em yet
'Cause they've got to ride forever on that range up in the sky
On horses snorting fire
As they ride on hear their cry

As the riders loped on by him he heard one call his name
If you want to save your soul from Hell a-riding on our range
Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride
Trying to catch the Devil's herd, across these endless skies

Yippie yi Ohhhhh
Yippie yi Yaaaaay

Ghost Riders in the sky
Ghost Riders in the sky
Ghost Riders in the sky

Tee Hee

Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rawhide!

Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Though the streams are swollen
Keep them dogies rollin'
Rawhide!
Rain and wind and weather
Hell-bent for leather
Wishin' my gal was by my side.
All the things I'm missin',
Good vittles, love, and kissin',
Are waiting at the end of my ride

CHORUS
Move 'em on, head 'em up
Head 'em up, move 'em on
Move 'em on, head 'em up
Rawhide
Count 'em out, ride 'em in,
Ride 'em in, count 'em out,
Count 'em out, ride 'em in
Rawhide!

Keep movin', movin', movin'
Though they're disapprovin'
Keep them dogies movin'
Rawhide!
Don't try to understand 'em
Just rope, throw, and brand 'em
Soon we'll be living high and wide.
My hearts calculatin'
My true love will be waitin',
Be waitin' at the end of my ride.

Rawhide!
Rawhide!

Beat me to it! I've always loved that wee tune but no-one else seems to know it! Good call Lucy, good call

Best Travolta performance I've ever seen too.
Agree - watched it the other night - Brilliant! Loved Travolta in the film Face-off as well

haha Ghost Riders is a great song. Never had a song paint such a vivid picture in my mind as that one. Those country boys know how to tell a story all right. I have it...as well as the Rawhide theme

But surely the best cowboy tune of all is The Magnificent Seven's??

Ah yes, know them well Maybe we could discuss their musical merits someday whilst we're watching grass grow?

:P

Yeah he's good in that too. But he's just too cool for school in Broken Arrow

I always remember going to see Crocodile Dundee and I think it was the begining of decent sound systems in cinemas. Anyway the instrumental music for the outback (guitar, digaridoo) is very memorable always seem to hear it whenever I see anything to do with the outback now.

"Stuck in the middle with you" Resevoir dogs

70's series battlestar Galatica theme

70's again (im old you see ) theme to tales of the unexpected, used to freak me out!!!
