It's a classi ctrick that... Similiar, if you leave your chain locked to a rail or similiar where you park the bike, and you come back one day to find the lock gummed up, PARK SOMEWHERE ELSE! COuld just be kids, or it could be that someone's eyeballed your bike and doesn't want you locking it today.

If that happened to me I think I would ring and say I have a nail in the tyre. Recovery van turns up, explain to him the circumstances and as he is more than likely a biker also so hopefully he will just put on the paperwork that the puncture was unrepairable. Then he would just recover you to your nominated destination.

Yeah, I was wondering how you got the bike home?
Luckley he had a mate that works and lives at the pub as well, he has a lid that he used to get it home it was a tight fit but it did the job

Where did they follow him from? (I'm from that area, btw)
We had just had band practice on the hurn industrial estate, (next to airport), the went via xchurch, up past the cat & fiddle pub, thats when they started following him, then he went down through bransgore i think and through the forrest and they kept on his ass the hole way, thats why i think police should have a more obveous car for at night when u are bing followed, because if that was the case he would have known that it was not the plod and he could have burnt away and lost them!!!!! but hay ho what can you do!!!!!

I never spent much time out that way, but I've been followed across the forest once or twice (mostly just people going the same way, I think) and it can be a pain, cos there's bugger all in the way of streetlights.

And if its a unmarked police car... you get done for speeding.

Yes but you can speed whilst overtaking if you feel your safety is comprimised i.e can.t see round a van at night hence are near invisible to traffic coming other way. if it was the noddy they'd have flashed you as soon as you gunned it, if not ...they'd choke on exhaust fumes

Other option is to slow to a ridiculous speed like 20mph in a 60mph, the plod would more than likely go round you and sod off into the distance, if not then you've got 20mph -70mph to make some space between you.

I'd have just gunned it and hoped it wasn't the noddy

I've never spotted an unmarked car out in the forest.

when i said "lose them" i didnt mean gun it off into the distance (that would be far too much fun)

you can simply pull a u-turn, filter, take a twisty section faster than them (if your capable) go round a roundabout a few times, overtakes, pull into a petrol garage and pull out again, or just simply pull up at a police station.
