Personally I reckon big bikes teach laziness... Why corner fast when you've got 50bhp to fire you out the other side

Can I tell them the 636 story? Can I? Can I?

OH OK THEN, since you insisted. The last time I was up at Knockhill before I did my leg in, it was a pretty quiet end-of-season session- maybe 20 bikes all told, all but 2 I think were track bikes (me and an ancient GPZ900, which got demolished) and quite a few were blatantly racers getting in some testing. It was open pit lane, so we got in loads of laps, and I kept on coming across this one track-only 636. He'd pass me in the straights, and I'd pass him down the back. Eventually, I was fading a bit so I pulled in... And run into 636 guy, telling his mate "I can't keep up with that ****ing SV down the back, I'm only on Rennsport roads" His mate looks over, and realises I'm on Roadtecs

(that same day had loads of people fitting wets, when it started to rain. "You got wets mate?" says one of the racers. "No, but I do have heated grips!")

Though it's true that I did crash, quite badly, and neither of them did

Funny enough, that day Wigan650 rode all the way from... where is it again? Ah yeah. Wigan. Rode all the way up, paid his money, it started to **** down, and I think he got in about 5 laps then had to call it a day because he was being overtaken by fish on the straight.

Now, the sad truth is he was very slow, rather than me being very fast. But that's OK
