If I were in that position, I'd be looking at rescinding the contract and getting a full refund. Don't know about you, but if I bought a new bike and it suffered a huge failure after 2 weeks, I'd not have much faith in it for the next 2 years.

Best bet is to reject the goods if you can. You've had the buzz of buying a new bike, now get your money back and spend half of it on something just as good but far more sensible.Like a two year old gixer in good nick.

I had problems with Suzuki after my sv packed up within the first week , the dealer was sh#t , so complained to Suzuki who's customer service was terrible.
Wish you all the best getting it sorted . Cheers Steve

Hi Kate - sorry to read about your woes with Suzuki customer services. My thread
http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.ph...hlight=gearbox gives details about my experiences. Basically, the lessons I learnt are 1. Suzuki parts seem to experience lengthy delays in getting to the dealer. 2. Customer services are (so I was reliably informed) a part of the company that was put out to tender some time ago...so they have no proper loyalty as it were to Suzuki...they just go by their very tight guidelines. 3. They won't put you through to speak to any one else 4. It is probable that your letters will be dealt with by the same person that you spoke to on the phone (mine were). 5. If you want to get any joy, you need to write to the CEO of Suzuki GB...PM me if you would like copies of the letters I sent to Suzuki. 6. If you are convinced you are right - don't give up - remain polite but firm - you need to get them into a really tight corner. 7. There's a good chance that none of the above will increase the speed with which your part, so desperately needed, will be dispatched!! ![]() Hope this helps...and good luck!! Oh, by the way...my dealer leant me a bike for the duration of my problem...again mentioned in my thread...try asking your dealer...stress the importance & inconvenience etc... Regards...Stingo.

Surely you should reject the bike? HAve heard many times on consumer rights programs about car buyers doing this - it is not fit for purpose. There is some kind of time limit I believe so you need to inform the dealers in writing of this ASAP I think.
Probably best talking to citizen's advice? Also even if you don't actually go through with it, may hurry the dealer up - they could always get the parts of another unsold bike if they really wanted to. First bloke on the phone sounds like an absolute c***. |

If we're having a ****ing competition then remember that Suzuki still haven't properly fixed the SV's front-cylinder "cut-out in the rain" issue, despite 7 years and a complete model overhaul in which to try. I've been on rideouts where this still happens :P |

Cheers guys for all the help, I'm going to speak to the Customer Support Manager tomorrow (not that I hold out much hope) and take it from there. Thing is, even if I tried to get my money back, I still want a black and grey GSX-R600 K6 and the black and silver is pretty difficult to find. |

I don't think you can get a 750 in Black and Silver though, not sure. Just a suggestion ? I don't know how viable it is for you though. I think your stuck between a rock and a hard place. Have you been to a different Suzuki dealer and see if they can help you out ?
