Look on the bright side, if this were a US site everyone'd be talking about "backing it in"
 Just to be perverse, I salute your attempts to improve your skid control. I've no real objection to a bit of honest tw**tery, as long as it doesn't risk other people, which it doesn't sound like it did. I don't do it myself, because tyres and bike bits are expensive and I fall off enough without

OOh! The safety brigade's out
 Lets see...Someone locks the rear wheel up and the brigades out yet we have others doing wheelies on car-filled roads and everyone stays schtoom  Makes sense...dunnit

Both on purpose and accidentally, IMO, it's not worth it. Which would be why I've not done it to excess.
