true but its not likely
It'll become much more likely if I find out where you're going to be working

O'course, first you'll have to find out where you're going to be working. Could take ages, that.

I reckon you'll be ok, just tell em asap. What they gonna do anyway? All you have to do I guess is to refuse the new offer as not being good enough. A contract is a two way agreement, my excuse would be that the verbal offer doesn't look as tempting written down so, bye bye.

In my business, your reputation circulates very quickly. But really what you have done/are doing is no big deal really (I mean that nicely) I'm an employer and have had this happen. My view was that i'd rather let someone go than have them working for me when they probably didn't really want to or stayed just for a bit extra dosh. I'm happy if they're honest with me.

It seems to me that you want to leave or you wouldn't have applied for the other job, so matter what, move on and look forward.

Hope it goes well.
Thank you for that

You worked out what you are going to do yet?

Have you told the boss?

At the end of the day follow your head not your heart. Take your boss to one side and say that you have really thought about the offer and its not what you really want. Honesty. You wont be the 1st person to do this, and wont be the last.

Whatever you choose will be the right decision.
