TBH, Witham is outside of my "normal" riding distance but in the summer the ride is obviously why I go. But dont let that put you off...I do feel that it needs to be a group decision rather than anything else

Having had a quick check on the route planner it is 8miles further from Kent[39.6 as against31.4]and takes about 35minutes on a bike[I work at the other side of the Dartford Bridge and my transit time is 30-35mins by bike & 40-45 by car] The difference between Battlebridge and Witham being16.6miles for anybody coming up the A130.

Now Norwich is a lot further than that and I'm only trying to do my bit for the environment by
saving fuel and help keep brewers and associated staff in jobs

Not to be taken seriously

Remind me why we're looking at a change of venue again? I seem to have misplaced the post somewhere

Because a change is as good as a holiday and the numbers attending the current venue are getting less and less, possibly bored with the place or other reasons? Nobody can have a drink unless chauffeured[or chance their mit]Three members live in Witham plus it is nearer for another three. Close[5mins max] to the main line station for anybody who wants to attend and have a drink. More room inside the premises--[has pool] and it is central for all Essex. These are my reasons for,but no doubt a good argument can be put up against

As previously posted it should be a majority decision and if everybody else is happy with The Barge,
so be it and if you want to make constructive criticism for or against change lets have a sensible polite debate, even suggest a different venue

Bathing caps, nose plugs and goggles a MUST!

Edit: I'm only happy with the change of venue to Witham if Julian (and any other long distance travellers) are happy doing the extra mileage... and if he/they ARE happy with it, but it gets moved before I do, there'll be even less of a chance of me turning up...
