Whoops! Missed that one.

Haven't seen a drum brake since I sold my scooter. It was on the rear and use to collect water when it rained so the wheel would lock at a sniff of rear lever until the water had burned off.

Thank god for disk brakes!

have got a wee TW125 (04 model) with drum brake on rear, it has excellent stopping power, much better than the SV although since the TW is a good bit lighter, maybe it just feels better

Theory is that you should only ever replace with a similar rating to the ones that the disc are designed for. The SV comes with HH as standard.

I have just looked at mine. 20,000 miles - oops look like they need replacing (along with the plugs - also 20,000 miles) and the air filter (yep - you guessed it - 20,000 miles). Tyres are looking a little square (caught you out! 11,500 miles!!!!)
