Here, here - Kwak ZZR for President

IMHO Horses (to be ridden on the road,) should be insured - I have seen many an accident caused by a Horse and Rider

As should cyclists

I do wonder why horse riders do not have to clean the crap off the road whereas other pet owners do. Let's face it, there's usually a lot more of it. Maybe it has something to do with the Royal Family enjoy horses - or maybe the logistics!

I've known a lot of horse riders injure themselves, some quite seriously, but it seems the worse injuries are suffered by the more experienced riders who push themselves on hacks or expect road users to know how to behave appropriately (I think some people don't know a horse always has a right of way from laws set a very long time ago). I'd feel safer on a bike than a horse riding down the road, although not sure if I was jumping fences

I don't know about that - the last horse I stood next to sure as hell produced some interesting emissions

I am pretty sure that if your dog 'fouls' the road then you do not legally have to pick it up. On the pavement you do but on the road is 'open season'. Its wrong to me, but as they say the law is an ass.

That said i quite like horses and have no problem with them being on the road. They may cause a few jams occasionally but no more than the granny doing 20 in a 60. Nice and easy to overtake aswell

However i do have a problem with them fouling the roads. No reason why they can't fit a horse nappy of some description! The local stables are quite good and do make an effort to clean the road along the routes they use so fair play to them. Most other areas are a disgrace!

I dont do 20 in a 60 - never ever - watch it "sonny" - less of the grannyist attitude
