![]() It wasn't aimed to be a technically correct term, purely used for emotional shock value, something I'm not overly impressed with. As for technicalities, a police pan euro makes about 115bhp? And handles pretty damn well too, and with a police rider doubtless handles better than 90% of SVs out there - by every definition more of a "powerful sports bike" than an SV. Unless you're going over 100mph anyway, then they just wobble and fall over ![]() |

What is in a name? I would call a Triumph Spitfire or MGB a sports car and powerful they ain't.
It seems nowdays the word 'sport' is bandied around by car manufacturers all the time..........sport hatch, sports utility. They even have a Range Rover Sport (now what is the point of that?) On that basis, I would call the SVS a Sports bike just not a 'performance' bike. |

Not much more powerful than my old FZR400 (Although it's a lot less work)
Should have been an SV700 (50) then it could have replaced the TRX....? Still love mine to bits... |
