I am not sure the actual car matters, but it's an MR2.

C4R is CAR ... but masked ... as this is a bike forum and saying the word car is like swearing, one must mask it for the innocent as they would any other expletive!!!

I have seen 'C@r' used too

I have had my car failed on indicators flashing to fast!! Drove round the block, went back an hour later, and it passed. I hadnt changed a thing. Same examiner and everything.

If you feel that the place isnt doing the job right, then make a formal complaint.

As for the discs, quit ya whinging and replace them. Takes about an hour!

An MOT is £46

Check a haynes manual, will give the min disk thickness, if yours are fine then bring them up on it

Take it to one of those MOT places on an industrial estate, the ones that just do MOTs, especially for vans and trucks. They're used to passing it if it's roadworthy without trying to make a mint out of you like the bigger garages do. Even Kwit Fit offer better MOTs (in terms of not ripping you off) than most dealerships will.

Well it has its new discs and is all passed now ...

Cheeky gets though tried overcharging me by £120 over the quote I was given ... I coughed a bit to say the least and they bought it back to ~£20 over quote ... still cheeky even £20 over quite …

I also had to wait 4.5 hours for the work to be done where they/their supplier was incompetent ... all this time I was needing to get to work really and stressing a bit … (I was hoping it to be all done and dusted in <1h so I was only a bit late in )…

And then I had to sit in an hours traffic where a car had broken down and it was friday lunchtime traffic anyway ...

So I am a few hundred quid worse off and have been stressed to the max ... also when I finally get to work, the guy I needed to see to be able to continue with what I was doing was just leaving!!

Oh well if you don't you will

And relax Blue_!!

p.s. Are you supposed to run new discs/pads in?? ... mine were smouldering by the time I got in (there is about 3-4 miles of backroads before my work and I needed a de-stress!!!!! ).
