Chris and plowsie, thanks very much. Will have an inspection on my xmas vacation just to look, then I can see how much money to keep aside if it needs to go back to the bike shop. I wasnt supplied with any parts when I got the bike back, so I assume that washers where inserted

Put money aside? Don't be daft

If they've not given you the standard sliders back then you've been robbed, those parts are your property, get them back and don't accept any excuse for them saying you need to take the bike back to them. (there is no legal reason for them to keep them)
That is if there are no washers present, if so then its half an hour to get them out if the jubilee clips come off alright.

hmm, this is interesting, i'm in the same boat as matt here. will be looking to get my bike de-restricted in the summer. the only problem i would now have is that if there are bits that the dealer should've given me back when it was done i'll have to buy them as that dealer has now gone bust and doesn't exist!!

Or you could put some epoxy putty in the holes in the slider, then sand it back to the same shape.

Always a way, the stock sliders, if you have to buy from the stealers will probably be a bloody fortune.

Check your certificate, if its FI international on the certificate, its done with washers, if its suzuki then its the sliders.

Sorry about the delayed response. My internets been playing up. I'm waiting to hear back from one person who emailed me first about the washers. If they don't get back o me in the next day or so. They will be available for Muffin first, and then Plowsie if still available.
