Hmmm this is a tough one. Yeah I do agree that fat people are a burden in some situations. Try working in 60'C heat lugging heavy objects over a mile out to an aircraft. Guess what happens to the fat ones... But that is purely to do with my work!
However if you can be fat and do a job that you dont need to be fit for... fair play. You will die sooner anyway and no longer be a burden on society. ![]() |

Just back from my 14 mile run. I really enjoyed it, I love the feeling of pounding heart, bursting lungs and legs feeling like they're about to give way under me.
I think I just found a solution to the problem ![]() |

unfortunatly there are far to many lazy people in our society who cant be bothered or find excuses not to do any exercise then wonder why they get fat from sitting at a desk all day. there is no secret to being in shape heat what you want in moderation, and exersice reguarly. again a lot of people give up at the first hurdle or when they break into a sweat. |

I don't have kids, but on my beat area I have 2 primary schools, and they've stopped sports days, got too much of a problem with insurance etc. But when they did have them, every kid had to have a prize, otherwise the little darling would feel left out, and MIGHT be emotionally scarred for life if they get banded a "LOSER", - quote from head teacher - quoting local council advice on sportsdays. |

I work in a school. I see forst hand just what has happened to the education system in the 8 years since I left compulsory education.
Remember writing lines in front of the headmaster's office? CAN'T DO THAT ANYMORE. Instead the kids are sent to what in my school is called the "Refocus Room" (recently renamed from "Withdrawl Room" as it wasn't Hippy enough) to "realign their attention and direction towards learning". What this means is they play flash games on the internet while the supervising member of staff talks on their mobile phone to their husband or wife. Shouting at kids in class? NO, SORRY! NO SHOUTING. We have a card system like a f*cking football referee. "Are you refusing to follow my instructions? Yellow card!" Makes me want to... Well... I'm on a school PC so let's just leave that there. |
