All went well, Conrad has now passed his test! I'm so chuffed I referred to myself in the third person.
However, upon bump starting (!) the bike after getting a can of petrol and filling it up, riding it around for 20 minutes, it cut out when i went over a speed bump in second. Me and a few mates who were nearby couldn't get it bump started again (I think maybe using the choke when bumping is a bad idea?), so I went kamikaze on it's ass, walked it a good half mile to a giant hill down by where I live, ran down it on the bike, hit about 20 and got it started, rode about half a mile past my house down a hill, then had to stop at a level crossing, panicked when it was down, tried to put the choke on and of course the bike stalled. I then had to push it back up said hill home. I got nothing from the starter motor when the bike cut out the first time, but upon demonstrating this to my housemate when I returned home, it feebly attempted to turn over. Do you guys think there is a problem with the starter motor, or is it just the battery in the cold taking ages to charge? |
