Tips of the fingers will still freeze, even with heated greaps AND handguards.

From what I've found is the heated grips cool down very quickly at high speed (unless I squeeze them hard) but seem to be quite hot around town. I can only think the wind chill has a big impact and that's what I'm hoping to reduce.

I fitted some hand guards this weekend, they do reduced the wind chill on my hand a considerable amount, and i didnt find my finger tips getting cold either (but i will hold that judgement until January time when its colder)

Did you fit them on the comfort kit or standard clip-ons? Were they the DL650 hand guards?

I've seen a video which shows these attach using the pivot bolt on the brake and clutch levers. If this is the case, I don't see why they shouldn't fit the raised bars. Can someone confirm this? Thanks!

They're the DL ones which use same clutch and brakes, near as damnit, as the SV.

The DL650 ones come with bolts that replace the pivot bolts and have fixings to ensure the guards do not mess with the levers. The outside edge clips to a fancy bar-end that comes with the kit.
As a bonus the right hand guard mount doubles up nicely as a bullet cam mount too. DO NOT order the ones from the DL1000 as apparently these do not come with the fixings.
