That's what I meant, I like quick fix I have to agree with you.

Liked SOCOM 1 & II on PS2 but don't often get time to really get involved in more techical games. That said, COD4 and Halo3 are quick to finish in single player but online is great and longevity is good. There's some slillful people on multiplay

Playing Halo 3 lastnight. It's good fun, but I'm not quite in to the whole sci-fi thing; I much prefer the old world war games. Early days though- only just finished the first level (i'm rubbish! )

Also, **** the HDMI, I plugged the component cable in and have it running at 1080 beautifully It also has an optical out port for 5.1 if you've got a surround sound system

Whats this about? my sorroundsound is awsome and will probably go this route aswell never got my head around the settings though, I was hoping it will come through the speakers with just the hdmi, then the cables from the tv to sorround sound box.

Yeah, I'll be getting COD4 at some point but Halo was in the sale It looks beautiful on the big screen

With the component cable there is an optical digital out that plugs straight in to the surround sound system. HDMI also supports surround sound but you'll need a surround system that has a hdmi input. Alternatively I think there's an add on for the 360 where you can add another port just for surround sound.

All in all.. I'd use the component cable. HDMIs only advantage is that it supports picture in picture. Component cables are nice as they give you loads of different options

unless i buy a hdmi-hdmi cable, the premium only comes with hdmi-av (component?) cable, unlike the elite which gets hdmi-hdmi, so that will probably do me then.

Still need to decide whether to buy a wireless bridge (£60) or a long wire to move my router (£5 + Effort getting stuff under the carpet). My house is a pain in the ****, phone lines are only on the ground and 2nd floor, both lounges are on the 1st floor . I would rather be plugged in i think than risk loosing the wireless signal.

Have you had yours online?

Not online yet, it's next to the router though so shouldn't be a problem. £60 is a joke Microsoft seem to be a real pain when it comes to buying their kit, it's so overpriced. £30 for a 512mb card?! I got a 4Gb SD for £25 ages ago! It does mean you can stream music from your PC though, and play that music during the games

Online seems to be what they're all about. I'll invest next January I think

Was playing Rainbow 6 co-op last night, its great fun! Get big speakers too, nothing beats the boom from a large caliber machinegun as rounds thunder into one-armed bandits in the casino!

I think that game may well be next on the list. Can't wait to get an online account Are there any SV groups playing online already?
