We felt it very very strong here, it went on for maybe 15 second and was fairly violent.
Our house is 3 storeys and we were on the top floor, the house was moving loads. It was like a very very loud humming we had to pretty much shout to hear each other to the point the neighbours heard us through the wall. Amazing yet terrifying when you wake up half asleep, first though was someone was coming/in the house, 2nd thought was that the walls of the quarry had collapsed. I rang my parents straight away and they felt it aswell and are used to quakes from being in america etc so they knew what it was straight away. The missus and I shat ourselfs to be fair, we arnt far from the epicentre at all as the crow flies. There a whole street down the road sealed off as the chimneys have come off and roofs moved. |

yep i felt it to,woke up at 12:59am to the sound of my multigym rattling in the bedroom for about 3/4 seconds.
Thought nothing of it at first-thought it was maybe some weird dream so fell straight back asleep. The news reminded me what had happened or i would probably never have remembered ![]() |

Yeah, woke me up - turned the lamp on to see the pup standing at the bottom of the bed, looking over the edge and growling at the floor. As soon as he realised I was awake though he wimped out and ran up to hid behind my pillow. Awwwwww.

Felt it here in Teesside, the sound of the wardrobe rattling the hangers inside and the doors moving woke me up. Could feel the bed wobbling about and the first thing I said was "EARTHQUAKE". Was told to go back to sleep by OH. Woke up this morning thinking it was a dream to find that it was on the TV.
