Never with a bike or car, but one old aircraft that I used to fly; parked the old girl in Paris my last flight before going off to do the course on the 737. Straightend the propellors and said goodbye and some 7 years later I still miss flying the old girl.

Normally nope, dont care for cars at all and never had an attachment to any i have owned.

Nor did i with the SV, however i do with the Kwak. The way it makes me feel when i ride it or see it in the garage.

When I handed over my Black SV to Saeed because of money, I thought to myself all the way home, what have I done!

I name all my bikes, no shame in it. And I do pat it if it doesn't chuck me off in a dodgy situation.

I find myself strangely attached to YC's heap of metal and duck tape, it being the first and only bike I've been pillion on and considering the hundreds (possibly thousands?) of miles we've done on it. When we had the one little off, I found myself getting up and going "the bike the bike is it ok?" and then feeling reyt bad about the little damage it had lol! I wouldn't have thought it really but dammit, that bike means something!

When we sold my beautiful TVR 3 years ago (due to another car blowing up 2 months out of warranty and having to fund a legal fight ) I watched the bloke drive her away, walked into the kitchen, sat down at the table and bawled my eyes out. I think for most of us it is what the time with the vehicle represents. Memories of good times, bad times, friends, family. To see that reminder go out of your life is really quite sad.

However as I have the most wonderful husband in the world, he bought her back for me as a Christmas pressie last year.

Haven't got that attached to the SV as I don't think I have ridden it enough...give it time though and I am sure the 'Plowsie pat' will happen

Is a Plowsie Pat similar to a Cow Pat?

Missus has got a 206 gti 180. They're not bad at all, little go karts. Stick like glue and suprisingly well balanced, the back feels like it's still doing something and not just blindly following the front, and not as inclined to understeer as I thought it'd be. Don't feel particularly quick though, that could be just because it's good through the range rather than feeling a surge at X revs but.

Probably obvious points - it's not particularly comfortable if you're just in the mood to get from A to B - though I am comparing that to an A4. And it gets through front tyres pretty quick.
