Before I learned how to hang off and keep the bike more upright I owned a 1989 VFR750, and I ground the pegs on that so far that I was down to the rubber bits. After that the fairing lowers started to scrape so I put new footrests on so I could gauge how far over I was. I sold the VFR and bought a GSXR750L, I fell off that at about 40mph because I kept leaning and leaning expecting the pegs to touch down, but I ended up running off the edge of the rear tyre tread and on my ar5e before that happened. It wasn't like I was a new rider either, I'd had a license 13 years when that happened.

On track peg and knee down is normal on the SV, as your foot starts to hinge upwards it's time to stop leaning any further

A pic Robchester took of me at Croft going round Hawthorn, a typical corner where the SV runs out of clearance, even with a little hanging off:

I refuse to hang off the Dullsville. Do you realise how stupid that looks.

I had an issue the other day. For the first time I had my toes scraping along the floor but not where the toes sliders are.

It is actually the front of my boot only happens on my left because I position my boot under the gear lever so when exciting the corner I can change gear out.

I never realised I did this until my boot started scraping now I think I may be doing it all wrong. Also I must sit with my toe out quite a way for the front of my boot to scrape.

I know a cop who can get his knee down on a police bike He said its all confidence.......but he is a fast rider.
