by what you have described it just makes it more of a challenge and more involved, that sounds like entertainment and fun to me )

with the SV its virtually full throttle for everything, that gets a little boring to me

The challenge is converting yourself from full throttle everywhere, to using 1/4 of the throttle instead. Its when it catches you out and you find yourself only attached to your bike by your hands thats not so fun. Or even worse throwing a £10k K8 1000rr down the road if you dont manage to catch it.

and sometimes you just dont want to be so focused, but you still have your sv so it doesnt matter so much

How old are you and how much is your insurance by the way I got qouted £1400 for a 2006 1000RR Need some more no claims before I can even consider it again lol the 600rr was only £500 as a comparison

im 24, been riding for 5 years on the SV, 2 years no claims bonus (i have not made any claims) and i got quoted £950 on the cbr1000rr8, and it should drop to £500 to £550 in the second year

Well have fun on it and I can't wait to hear of all the silly antics you get up to on here (please report them to us!)

But assuming you get out on it a fair bit, I give this marriage 2 weeks before you are having second thoughts ... within a year you will be divorced!!

Only one question then, which one will you take to Spain......if youre on the mountain roads and twisties is your thing the SV will quick the Blade's butt, in the right hands of course!

only one question then, which bike will you take to Spain? if your intending on going to the mountains for any length of time, the SV will certainly kick butt against the Blade, in the right hands of course.....not to mention be more comfortable!

Cheers for that, I hadn't thought about the Falco, although had considered then discounted an RSV as a little too sports focused for comfortable touring. I'll have a look into it and see if I can find a good example.
