Been lucky loads of times to be honest, I seem to have a 6th sense and slow down just at the right time.

Been pulled over for having no front number plate a couple of times but always just given a warning probably because I'm polite and have a joke with them. Not be pulled for speeding or other naughtyness yet!

pulled at well over a ton, and got off with 90 3 points and a fine.

have also been pulled at 70... copper didnt like the fact i could out accelarate him on the dual carriageway leading on to the motorway where i was stopped.
said he heard me "winding it on" half a mile away. (really that is the standard exhaust officer) and although he stated at the beginning of the conversation he didnt have anything on me, knew i was speeding as he had to do 90 to catch me up... (refer to previous statement about being half a mile away)

nice one plod!

was also pulled outside leyburn by friendly chap in a landy. who advised that cans were too loud and plate too small. but as he was a biker, and as i was only up there for a week, he gave me piece of paper to show to other plods to say i had been spoken too. class!

Just give him the number for Samaritans (speed dial 1)
[EDIT]: That won't work for you... try 08457 90 90 90

After the AR06, I got stopped by the police about 50 metres from my house for speeding, 41 in a 30. I think the fact that I was local and was in a safe spot (it's a built up area but that bit has no openings, driveways, garden gates etc so no surprises) got me off. I couldn't think of anything brilliant to say so I just told the truth, I'd been on the motorway since Shrewsbury and my sense of speed was off- I actually had no idea I was speeding. Terrible excuse but he probably realised it was genuine.

What I didn't tell him was that I'd averaged 100 up the M6, with my tent and luggage on the back
