We regulary have haggis throughout the year.

Always have our own Burns night at home every year, with Nips and Tattys. And end with Whiskey, nearly had problems this year as only had Welsh Whiskey in the house, till Mr Lou found a bottle of Ardburgh lurking in the cupboard. Phew!

its a bit like moist fruit cake

http://www.scottishrecipes.co.uk/clootiedumpling.htm

my mum used to make it and wrapped it in a tea towel which gives it a sort of skin (which I cut off)

Think Christmas Pud, but not as heavy and without the booze.

The best ones are as big as yer heid.

Clootie Dumpling would translate as "Clothy Dumpling" - so Dumpling cooked in a cloth
