I really like G/J Model zx6r's however I thought that the valve gear needs regular attention which would be costly if you do big miles unless you are handy with a spanner ?

Cheers Steve

Not really... I never had it below 50MPG, just cos I weigh feck all I guess. Not that I rode it that slow at all, even when I was out on the Catherine wheel run on the Falco I got 42MPG.

So what bike is going to be bought for doing the job? Or is it just going to be the SV?

Some good advice coming through, although not too sure about a 600 IL4. They would need too high revs with a fat ******* like me on the back. If I go sporty then perhaps the 955 Daytonna or a zx9r. I honestly think that a blackbird will have me banned before Spring is over!!!!

I will be back in the UK at the end of this month, so I will try and orginise a few test rides from various outlets along westgate road.

I quite liked the dauville suggestions, but when I showed it to the GF it got a strong NOOOOOOOOO. If one is around I will give it a go though, even if its just to **** her off. Cheers All
