me reckons they were trying to nick it, they tried to pivot it around a bit to pull it out between the cars, lost it and ran off, or got disturbed.. if they were just up for mindless criminal damage they'd probably kick off a few wing mirrors rather than **** off a potentially big burly biker...

Positive, one is my gf's which I parked there myself, and one hasn't moved for about 3 months.

I did think about nicking, but the disc lock hasn't moved, surely the first thing they'd do is try to wheel it a bit?

not necessarily.. it would only take 2 chunky chaps and a transit van to lift it..I'd bank that most bikes parked on the street either have disc locks or some sort of alarm tripped to the wheels. I wouldn't even bother wheeling it myself (if i was that way inclined of course..)
