Have to agree with the others on this.
If the bike is registered in your name, I think there may be a legal issue with him stopping you from using it.
As for having years of motocross experience, sorry but it means s**t on the road.
I have about 10 years of racing motocross and enduro and am starting to teach at an offroad school, this doesnt mean that I am a god on the road (infact just the opposite as the riding styles cant be transfered across).

Tell him hes being a c**k and that if he ever wants a ride in the bedroom, you have to have the keys back!

Not if he's quick to jump to other models once he encounters a problem

God, he sounds like an arrogant ****wit, to be blunt. Have to say though, my OH attempts this sort of behaviour sometimes, under the guise of *caring* for me, but gets very sharply reminded of my opinion when he does.

Hide the keys to his bike, and don't back down- is he like this generally or is it just because he's the yoda of the biking world?

This sounds familiar - my OH was exactly the same, he said it was because he cared and didn't want me getting hurt and made excuses for me not to have to go out on the bike - (like today I was meant to go on the Barmouth or Bust rideout) So i sympathise with how frustrated you must be feeling.

I find that i ride more like a wally when I know someone is watching my every move - I tend to overthink things rather than enjoy it if I could just ride however I wanted so I did go out alone a lot to get experience, that was before we got together since we have been together though i could probably count on 1 hand the amount of times I have been out on the bike.
