I use an electric beard trimmer.

Shave once a week, or fornightly.

I HATE buying blades due to the prices. The women has learnt not to touch mine. But im a proper man and need a shave (or trim) every couple of days. I hate it.

I can't use the cheaper ones. I've got tough facial hair and the cheap blades just rip my face to shreds (no matter how carefull) and hurt like buggery to use.

it really isnt that painful. First time is the worse, second time feels like nothing - im sure its about an 80% reduction in pain levels..! 4 weeks of smoothness compared to 4 days with a razor

I dare you to give it a try

Get a straight blade. Doesn't take long to get used to, and you'll never buy a blade again. EVER!

I have, on a few recommendations just bought a Tesco Matrix razor and 8 blades.

Much cheaper than a Mach 3 Turbo.

Now I know why. Just freshly shaved my bonce and face to test it out- nowhere near as smooth or close a shave and left me with far more cuts than usual and it took far more shaving to get as close as the Mach 3.

I reckon they'll just about do for the face, but for the scalp- nar. I think I'll have to stick with Gillette. Much as they are overpriced, they are far superior in quality imho.

Anyway- nother topic. Who can recommend a decent balm/cream for freshly shaved scalp? I've just got some Nivea, which seems OK, but too smelly- I'd like something neutral to keep it moisturised. I also use Nivea face cream on it, but I'm sure there must be better stuff- or something specifically suited to the bonce, rather than the face.
