Was wondering if I was with you briefly lol.....that would have ruined my day, at least its only your first set though you will have to slow down for a couple of months

I was sure they did, but it only if you have literally only been 2/3mph over the limit

You clearly didnt get a FPN though......getting a slap on the wrist and advised to do a course is not the same as having the choice of 3 point and a £60 fine or paying to do a compulsory £80 course lol

A scamera van? i.e: front facing? Or does being on the other side mean they got you from the back?

I don't know the law on this, but if this is the case and they don't have video evidence showing your number plate, I'd be reading every letter on pepipoo to see if the was some technicality that you could exploit. They do need to be able to provide concrete evidence. The operator will have to have turned round to read and note down your number plate, maybe you can ask to see this? If you ask too many awkward questions sometimes you fall outside of the normal process and the scamera partnership's administrative skills and staffing levels to deal with anything out of the ordinary are so poor that you never hear from them again.

Obviously if you can try and make things awkward always ensure you are within the law, i.e provide your details within the timescales, etc.

Don't allow something to go to court unless you are fairly confident you will win.

I recently got 3 points and 60 quid in court for 60 in a 40, but it was only 'cos the speed limit was in a stupid place where it used to be NSL at 70mph and the judge knew it, according to ACPO guidelines I shouldn't have been in court in the first place (court = 66mph) and I plead guilty at the first opportunity. Pleading guilty at the right time if you are guilty seems to be key to not getting a harsher penalty, if you waste the courts time, they will waste you.

A response to the S172 (who is driving letter) must be received within 28 days nominating a driver/s or stating not my bike guv.
Asking for a photo to ID on day 27 means you will be charged with failure to comply with S172 and get 6 points + large fine, and if you then id youself you will pick up an extra 3 for the speeding, unless you beg very nicely to the CPS and they decide to drop a charge.
either there is a loop hole somewhere or a scoootaaaaa riding friend is now still riding despite been banned. he had 1yr 10month on his licence when he got his NIP for his 2nd set of 3 points... I'll have a word, wouldnt suprise me if the lad still rides regardless but lied cos he knows he'd get a slap tbh.

I wouldn't waste the time of any organisation that did good work, but a scamera partnership does not fall into that category.

i was caught the other day, early morning when i was late for work. there are roadworks on the dual carriageway and the limit was 40, so me doing 80 made me think i was screwed<what are the chances of getting caught at this time> lol. so the copper overtook me(didn't see him in mirrors) and pulled me in then went through the usual balls but then issued a warning for excessive speed. he was on his own which made me think can a lone copper issue a speeding ticket? was it a change of shift so he couldn't be arsed to do the paperwork(caught 5.30am). did he not have video evidence? i would of thouhgt a copper would throw the book at someone being that stupid. any ideas how i got away with it?
