I haven't taken anything yet this year. I always used to but this year I hadn't had any signs of hay fever until a few days a go, then bam!

Ive only had to take one tab so far this year and that wasn't even on the bike...it was whilst cooking on the barbi that i started sneezing.
knowing snot flauvered burgers are not gonna be good i ran inside and popped a pil.

Ive had a sneeze attack whilst riding the bike before and found that pushing the front/tip of my tongue hard against the back of my front teeth and roof of my mouth suppresed the need to sneeze for a while. No idea how or why that works, it just did for me

Now I'm no Doctor, but maybe if you're taking the cheaper 'generic' tablets over the supermarket counter, it may be worth taking them daily to try and help?
yeah that is true i get mine from my doctor and he advises me to take them daily as winter ends

I used to use the Tesco brand of Beconase, a lot cheaper. But, I have to say that since riding for only 3yrs, this year I have had 1 or 2 moments in the evenings, but no where near what I used to get.
I used to have the whole lot, from March through to July and if it was humid, I didnt even bother going out with or without beconase!

I use Flixonase nasal spray, Tesco one a day tablets (cetirizine hydrochloride stuff) and Tesco eye drops. Makes things a lot better but not 100%. Yesterday I did a run in the gym in the evening and spent all of last night wheezing with my asthma, thought I was going to die from not getting enough breath in during the night , not cool

Cetirizine here.
Seems to keep mine under control. You're meant to use it everyday to help build a resistance to the allergen though.

I used to get it really bad every year without fail, eyes swollen and streaming, the lot. When i was younger could barely see when it was bad as eyes were swollen so much with scratching.

Then few years back i tried one of those homeopathic remedies from the tree-hugger shop. Dont know why as i'm not remotely into that sort if thing but someone said to give it a try. Never had hayfever since!

Just get cat allergy instead which is great as we have 2 cats.

Yep...got it bad.

Worse this year than usual.
No sneezing, usually head congestion, but this year both head and chest congestion.

I take "Claritin D". Usually does the job but just working OK right now.
Zyrtec works better but after about half a day makes me feel really tired.

Fortunately.... riding makes my symptoms better!!!!
I ride high in the mountains and apparently whatever I'm allergic to doesn't grow at those altitudes.
Get all better when I ride and usually lasts up to 12 hours after I get home.

Then the hay fever takes over again.
