If Suzuki made the standard ECU mappable without having to resort to the dealer, it would make life so much easier, but I suppose they'd run into lots of legal issues.
Slight derail,sorry.

Factory Pro do a device for re-proggramming stock ecu's.

Check it out.

Yeah, after reading all this I had a look on the Dynojet website, they are bringing out a PCV (powercommander 5) for the 2009 SV650's, maybe that will work on the 2008's too.

I have emailed them. So I'll keep you posted.

removed mine last night... Got to admit i do like the sound... However there is now a mazzive hole in the airbox.... I am thinking of putting some kind of mesh in there to protect the filter a bit... What have the rest of you guys done with the hole if anything at all!

Dave, I wouldn't worry about extra protection too much... It is not a dirt bike that is going to be sucking up every bit of junk imaginable. As a worst case the aircleaner **might** need a blow a little more often.

Cheers

Dave
there's a mesh over mine I think but as mattco says I don't think it's a massive problem...

Anywhere with the correct equipment and a dyno can map the ecu directly. It is fine to map the K8 models as the lambda system isnt closed loop so doesnt over write the remap as many people think.
