Beware of this SV650 For sale

Also i would have gone the small claims court's route, to get the finance off the bike, if i was keeping it, but i had another bike waiting for me to pick up, which i needed money from the sv to get, so i took the easy option and sold it back to the original dealership, so i could get my new bike. Hindsight is a wonderfull thing, i wish i would have gone down that route now tho.

i spent over 24 quid getting checks done before i got my land rover, i had stuff flagged up and when the dealer was informed of this amazingly the car had just been sold for cash about an hour ago!
its a sore lesson for you mate but if you decided to not persue this further, you can't complain if the dealer then decides to try again and make money on the bike.you should have taken him the full road and got all your money back.

O yeah i know, i was just informing people, not really a complaint as such. I'm not too bothered about what they sell it's for not my business, i was just showing people the dark side of a particular dealership.

I don't think the £3 checks actually check for outstanding finance.

If anyone is interested, my old bike (that I mentioned earlier) is still for sale at the ludicrously increased price at Blunder Road. And I know it's mine, as it's the right reg, mileage, crash bars and white discolouration on the speedo.

Were you really a caring previous owner?

It was my first bike so yeah, I loved it. I built it a home (converted shed into garage) and lavished it with love, affection, a flyscreen (which they seem to have removed) and a top-box for carrying beer in.

Perhaps my affection for the bike was such that I managed to make it appreciate in value... just, er, not when I was part-exchanging it for my SV.
