I have sent over an email to velindre care.
I thought it best to keep you guys informed.
Please let me know if you think I am treading on anybodys toes.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is with a sad heart that I am contacting you.

I am emailing you to let you know that we are continuing to raise funds for your charity on behalf of a fallen friend.

David "Hovis" Furness, was unfortunatly involved in a motorcycle accident this weekend and was reported to have died at the scene.
Hovis was a member of the sv650.org forum and had posted that he was intending to run the cardiff half marathon on the 18'10'09 but unfortunatly will not be able to make this run.
We are continuing to raise funds on his behalf and need to make sure that you will be able to receive any donations from here :- http://www.justgiving.com/hovis-13/ .

Please could you let me know that you will be able to access these donations and if not, what you will need so that we may make sure that they are passed onto yourselves.

Regards

Rob.

Thank you to all so far. I really want this if possible to become a small legacy of him. I believe that through the org, his welsh ride out club and freinds we can get some serious money raised on his behalf.

Sat in the car listening to Proud by Heather Small, it's lifting me up no end and making me realise the brilliant man that he will always be. X

I know someone at BBC who can give me the right contacts, so if it's ok with everyone, I will contact them on Monday and let them know what has happened, what an amazing man he was and how his dedication to helping others has inspired others to follow suit and continue to raise money in his memory.

I will wait to see if this is ok with his family.

I never met the lad but via his posts here decided a while back that he was a 'good' lad.
I'm pretty choked. He invited me onto his face book friends list a while back after I donated a few quid to this fund. Had been looking forward to meeting him at some point.
Very sad. Can't believe how his mum must be feeling...
Hope she gets to see these posts somehow.

I think it would be awesome to double his target and get £1000, if you have a spare couple of quid the big loaf in the sky would appreciate it.
