Even if they're stopped at lights, drivers on mobiles can still be dangerous. I was stopped at a red light next to a knob in a porsche who was chatting on his phone. I revved my engine and he took off. He got half way across the junction before he realised that the lights were still red.

I'm all in favour of cops using their discretion, but reckon that all drivers using mobiles should be nicked, whatever speed they're doing. After all, I've seen bluetooth headsets for sale for under £10.

I'm not a fan when people don't have both their hands available to drive with. Phones are the worst as people are usually talking as well, which distracts them further - regardless if the phone is held up to their ear, or in front of their mouth imo.

Hands free's or mounting ur phone to the dash I have no beef with.

On the topic of beef, the other day I went for a short ride. Nothing more than 3 miles at best, in Central London. I encountered 3 (yes 3 drivers) happily tucking into their Maccy D burgers whilst driving. When on my bike, I make sure I leave these people behind me extra quick. There's no way you can eat and enjoy a burger whilst still having full driving control!

Aw thulfi mate, you gotta get out of that rat hole and come and ride around mid Wales. Especially the A4212 from Bala to Trawsfynydd, round the top of Llyn Celin. You won't want to go back.

No two ways about it, Book'em. Especially in slow moving traffic when accidents are, I think, quite likely. Such slow moving traffic invariably means that you are far closer to many cars than compared to travelling at a higher speed. Small children can be killed even by a vehicle moving at such a slow speed, riders can be seriously injured and bikes badly damaged. That driver knows the law and has knowingly and blatently disregarded it (this annoys me mostly because it is a law designed to keep people safe, pointless laws such as exhaust noise should be ignored ). If someone makes an attempt to comply with the law, so pulls over but leaves the engine running then as long as the car is out of gear then I think they have made enough of an effort to be let go.
