What's the point in issuing a producer? Knob
Do you always jump in with both feet without at least looking to see what you're going into?

He hasn't been given a "producer". He's been given a conditional fixed penalty notice. The reason it's conditional it that you have to surrender both parts of your licence to make it a full ticket that you can then pay. As the OP wasn't able to surrender them at the side of the road he has 7 days to take them to a nominated police station. Once he has done that he can then pay the ticket. The ticket office will endorse his licence once they get his money and return it to him, job done.

No douches or knobs involved, at least not at the roadside.

I'm impressed the policeman was able to classify your social demographic from all the way up at the top of the slip road...

To get the points added to your license you send it away to the DVLA that was my point not that the DVLA actually give you the points.

I have a producer for presenting my license within 7 days also.
He stated he'd been given a producer...what did I miss?

Oh come on! You own a bike - how many times have you strayed over the speed limit and NOT been caught? I'm guessing your ratio of being caught/not being caught is pretty high.

ACPO guideline for a court summons is 96mph in a 70 limit, hence MBK's force not issuing FPN over 95.

I got a summons for 60 mph in a 40, when the ACPO guideline is 66mph.

So yes, you did just get off lightly, the copper cut you some slack because you were polite and honest.

Take 3 points and £60, it's a gift.

I've had more than one FPN and never had to produce anything unless I was given a separate producer.
