well you were right, there were a number of tubes disconnected from the air filter which i didn't notice until i took the tank up so was very happy indeed when i managed to get the warning light off.

i took it for a ride to and from work 2day, everything felt fine so any worry about the forks turning in the yokes and such were resolved. but i did get a bit of a surprise when i went to fuel up and found that whoever stole the bike had had a go at opening the fuel cap with a screw driver!!!!!

that right pi**ed me off! i think its... well "fair" enough to try and steal a bike to make some money or have a blip on it and leave it in a field somewhere, but when that proves too difficult for them they then try and torch it by opening the tank up... just for kicks. now thats fu*ked.

saving grace is that with a bit of force i can get my key into the cap to fuel up, and i got a nice disc alarm on now so even if someone bumps into the tail of it it lets out a warning beep (as a mate demonstrated in the middle of the night drunk)

such a shame as i was thinking the night before how nice the bike was kept even tho its used everyday. but now its got a scratch on the tank, a scuffed 2nd hand mirror and fooked fuel cap. adds character i suppose, im kinda proud that even tho it was stolen got bashed up a bit it just gave the thieving *******s the finger and "fu*k off! you not getting in My tank you orange peelers!" and came back to me still handling like a train on tracks!
