How to stay off grass

Forks and stuff entirely depend how complicated a bike you get, SRAD forks and other sportsbikes are harder to work on than SV ones.

There's a couple of dead simple sums to tell you about that stuff.

power = current x voltage voltage = current x resistance

But TBH you hardly need to use those when working on a bike.

fair play... it's just when there's a brand new battery in and the ignition is on but absolutely bugger all happens that I'll start to think about giving up any cheap curvys knocking about?

lol I haven't even got any more at the moment... just keeping an eye on prices to see how they drop towards the middle of winter. How hard are carbs to tinker with? I'm convinced that the manufacturers sprinkle a bit of magic dust inside them when they're made - then when muppets like me open them up all the magic escapes and they never work again

Dead easy once you got all rusty bolts out

If you are tuning it then the best way is to free all the bolts off so it's nice and easy then hand it to an expert with a dyno.

See, the title of this thread should now be 'Can Paulthe6Th spanner a race bike' because that's what it's about!!

Maybe thread titles should evolve and change the way threads do to make sure they are always relevant
