I sprayed my Fazers' forks from silver to black to match the rest of it. Did it myself and was pretty happy with the results:

They look pretty good Dill, did you do them while the forks were still on the bike or remove them? i suppose if i took the wheel off and fender and masked everything else up i couldnt muck it up too much... or could i

yea cluffy I kept the forks on. basically just took the wheel off, and the fender, and then put masking tape over the top part of the forks and stuck a large piece of cardboard between the forks and bike so I wouldn't be spraying the radiator or downpipes or the likes. took a good few days, with rubbing them down with wet and dry, then priming, painting and lacquering again. but in my opinion worth every second.

I did the same with the YBR too funny enough, painted the forks and rear footrest hangers from silver to black...
