Ian Banks and Iain M Banks & JG Ballard like Stewie,
God Delusion and The Greatest Show on Earth by Dawkins.
Currently enjoying the Science Delusion by Sheldrake.
Beyond the Reefs and Shark for Sale: Adventures in the Seychelles by William Travis are a an adult boy's adventure readable by adults.
The Book of Dave by Will Self, quite fun.
I also enjoy Martin Amis books.
Paul Carter for brain out reading, can be done with a hangover, whilst ****ed or semi conscious
Pure by Julianna Baggott is interesting, going to read the rest of the trilogy to see how it goes, undecided as yet.

And Haynes for anything useful.

But I'm not a book critic, I'll read anything.

And Haynes!

Sounds like that's the condition he wrote them in?
All going so well, until: " And Haynes for anything useful. "
So you like a good mystery, Tim?

Have been reading a lot of Lee Child's Jack Reacher books. Got a bit of everything - violence, a good plot, violence, a bit of sex. Good reads.

Also, just finished "Picking up the Brass" by Eddy Nugent. He's a pseudonym of two former Royal Sigs guys. The general gist of it is that it tells the story of Eddy's enlistment in the Army and his training followed by his career. anyone that served in the military from the late 80's onwards will recognise whats happening and will remember similar experiences. Currently reading the sequel - Map of Africa. Equally as hilarious. Check 'em out, you won't be disappointed.

I saw 600+'s mention of IQ84 and Googled it.

Had a look for some Murakami and ended up buying "Kafka on the Shore"
A fascinating and enthralling book.

Also bought "Sputnik Sweetheart" by him, mainly because the sleeve-notes mentioned lesbianism.
But I hav'nt read it yet. My niece, a lesbian, stole it.
