ok. as a guide we would go for 31 hot front and 29 hot rear on pirelli diablos (track tyres)- maybe 32 rear was a bit high - did you use warmers and were these road tyres?

hope you meant 'hasnt put me off' ? you may have to get used to the odd crash anyway?

If you are around this way would be happy to help you anyway we can.................... good luck

Yea I meant has not put me off at all. I was using a bridgestone 023 which has been excellent over the last 4 track days. I just think it was too old and gave up on me. Well if u have any advice on fitting a subframe easily I would appreciate it.

New track tyres definitely help to lessen the risk of crashing especially when nicely heated and pressures set correct - we know to our cost that any deviation from our sticky pirellis usually has a price eventually.

Which subframe have you gone for? They are fairly easy to fit but a good idea to buy one that easily goes with a matching seat unit. We have given up on subframes with rivet nuts in them as they invariably pull out in time (especially when strained after a crash). Our best attachments have been full length bolts and nyloc nuts with suitable load spreading washers.

I went for a standard sv one in the end as I managed to get a second hand one in great condition for £55 which is pritty good. Fitted it yesterday with out any problems just waiting for the body work to arrive and Im nearly done with the rebuild
