I agree with you............but if you look at my photo you will see a lead from the PDA headphone socket, that fixes to my helmet so I get the verbal instructions of where to turn etc, but also of where static and mobile speed camera's are
Ditto The TomTom Rider is Bluetooth enabled, so you listen to verbal instructions through a bluetooth earpiece under you lid

unless you have an autocom/starcom or similer system installed you dont need to worrey as the speakers are mounted in your helmet anyway.

Even with earplugs i can clearly hear what is said at over 70.

The attraction of riding my bike is the peace and quiet in my helmet. I like to concentrate on the road and ride where I want to go, I like to change my route on the way rather than listening to someone telling me where to go in my helmet. I suppose they are ok as a toy but not when riding properly....

I ride abroad every year, trips to Spain and enjoy finding new roads on the way... However everyone is different so go for it you want it

Hi again everyone... nice to see the board is up and running again. BOught an i3 for car and bike and finally got it onto the bike this weekend. Small mount off of the left handlebar and a freezer bag and rubber band to handle the rain. Works brilliantly, though can't easily program a run/specific circuit. But for a GPS that can be bought for under £170 most places, it ain't bad!

Mount on the bike:

GPS in place with plastic bag on it:

Although I couldn't hear directions (volume level 4 and it goes up to 5, so maybe next time...) it's easy to see and the speed camera warnig tone is loud enough to hear, even at 70mph in the wind and rain with helmet and earplugs.

look a rather neat system.. did the mount come with the i3? Did you have to do anything special to get it to fit?
