i beat a pratt in a z4, and i had a pillion and a chineese in my bag and i beat him away from a set of lights (and he was going for it)

Jebiah,

I think you can see that there does seem some very good advice heading your way here? Not all of the guys are SV owners anymore and so are not simply biased to that bike.
R6 is a great bike and to be fully enjoyed in the hands of an experienced rider . Clip on bars and a motor that your going to have to really work in restricted form to get anywhere near like performance. Which as mentioned could create many problems in itself.

The V400 is a very good choice of bike also as suggested by Burner great looking and a sought after machine.

Would be a shame to make the wrong choice now and have a first year on two wheels that spoils in your mind what could have been many years of biking fun.
For what it's worth I would always suggest a naked bike for at least the first year.More user friendly riding podsition and less bits and bobs to damage if you are unfortunate enough to fall......which there is every chance you will I am afraid.

yeah thanks for replies again i was looking at 400's they are quite nice but not as nice as the beloved R6 lol still looking around though taking in your advice well trying to i had my moped for a bout a year and a half (i know its completely different) and i did some good old crashing on that so have good road sense im pretty sure i would be fine on a bigger bike as far as my ability goes as im not really stupid for my age but other driver error etc still happens but there nothing i can do about it im also pretty certain i will eventually drop it but thats gonna suck no matter what bike i get. personally i prefer the look of the faired bikes the naked bikes just arent to my taste so im not gonna buy a naked one just so its cheaper when i drop it id rather buy a new fairing and like the look of it. on a better note ive got another training day this sunday and my instructor said we should talk about a test date so i might be booking it soon and im getting a new helmet tomorrow as a half xmas pressie thing
