15ką if you clean and oil it seems average, 30ką if you have a scottoiler fitted

Hmm, I can see that going both ways... Obviously, more wet rides, more salt to encourage corrosion, but more seriously more salt and grit to abrade things. But then, I ride at about 3/4 at most for most of the winter, so the chain has a far easier job to do.
