Unfortunate names

We've got a new bloke just started

We all call him Frankie as his first name is a bit of a handful as well

A mate says he went to school with a girl called Theresa Green - say it quickly!

in those far off hazy school days our humanities teacher was MR WOODCOCK
whom we lovingy referred to (behind his back of-course) as SPLINTERDICK
oh the joys of youth

I remember reading a letter in a magazine the week after it had published a feature on this subject. It was from a woman asking parents to realise what a handicap a 'funny' name could be.

Her name was Helen Highwater.

I worked with a guy called Trevor Pratt. He got fed up with the jibes so changed his name by deed poll to Trevor Francis.


From then on he was known as "that prat Francis".

I was trying to find someone else, but found this instead. Still good for a little joke at their expense.

I give you, Susan Doctor.

Whilst not immediately funny, she was a Professor at the University of Nevada, and as such, had completed a Ph.D to hold the position.

So therefore, she was Dr. Doctor!
