kate, you are a very lucky girl. this could have been a lot worse indeed, sorry to hear this happened due to the dozy prat at the wheel. let his insurance pay up.

If he tested pos for alcohol or drugs they would have nicked him,but that is by the by.You survived relativly well so was he insured?That's the biggy now.Start keeping track of ALL your expenses and note all your kit was damaged.The lawyer will advise you.

Blimey Kate! That must have been frightening. I'm glad you're able to get home already.

As others have said you've been very fortunate not to sustain even more serious harm. You say you have a car arranged for tomorrow, surely you're not going to work? Take it easy, for at least a week.

I think the bike will write itself off in this case. New front end, plastics and lights no doubt, pegs and levers etc. plus a lot of smaller things you just don't realise unitl it's stripped. I'd be astounded if the insurers paid out for a gsxr front end instead of returning it to standard.
