Bad luck mate!

I know how you feel.

When I done mine I failed first time for speeding(No speed limit change signs, didn't notice the street lights )

The examiner even said "That was a lovely ride,You would have passed that except you were going faster than the limit" I was doing 34mph,as I was unsure of the limit at the time!

He didn't even give me any minors!

Still, when I did my re-test,we were out for about 10mins,and passed.

Better luck next time,I'm sure you'll be fine!

Don't be disheartened by this!

The main reason for the U turn is just to show that you have good slow control of the bike. Its nothing to do with turning around at all.

Sorry about the fail mate, better look next time.

The tip by Northwind about your mirrors is a good one and one that I used to teach myself. The feet up U turn I hate but was the one thing that I concentrated on the most, as this is the one thing that would make a student the most nervous during a test. If they went into the test knowing that they could nail the manoeuvre every singe time, the rest was easy and they rode with confidence on the test.

Having a vehicle license to my mind is a privilege and not something to be awarded due to perseverance and ability to pay. Sorry if this goes against the grain in this PC world of ours!

(That should generate a few outraged replies!) :P
I dont agree with this... My mate failed his driving test 4 times and is now a great driver. My bike trainer passed on her 5th time and is a very good rider now (and teaching people)

Talking like that.... I have another friend who passed their driving test first time but wait... they had 200hours worth of lessons before even trying!

With being failed for just the simplest of things, you could be a perfect rider but stall at some stupid moment (everyone does it, even my dad whos been riding for god knows how many years) and fail!

Oh dear I was on a bit of a tormented roll wasn't I? You do know that will mean confession for me now? Wonder how many Hail Mary's I'll get hit with for this little lot?
