For my health.

Waking up on a cardiac ward made me realise I had to do something else than work. Getting back on a bike after 20 years you are too busy staying alive to worry about work, family, money etc.

I havnt got a car and dont particularly want one either... I love the bike i ride in all weathers and just do it for the joy, 20,000 miles in a year and a half. Guess that means i like it lol.

I just really love riding. I ride the B4116/B4114 to Coleshill every day and I thoroughly enjoy that road so it makes my daily commute that bit more exciting. To me, driving a car is a chore and I know I will never get the same buzz out of driving a car that I do from biking.
The other HUGE advantage is that because I ride a bike that handles so beautifully and provides plentiful smooth torque I have no wish to EVER buy a sports car. I know that no matter how much I spend on a 'supercar' the thrill probably wouldn't even compare with my SV.
You can keep your fancy 5 setting adjustable seats, CD players and staying warm and dry - I'll stick to the bike ta anyway.

I need a multi option. Partly for the fun and partly as I never bothered to do my car test!

Mainly the reason is because I can!!

I wanted a bike for years, but I was pushed into it more because I started commuting longer distances in a car that has crappy MPG.

I was spending £20/day in fuel for the car, which was stupid. So I bought a CG125 from a mate, passed my CBT, and started riding that to work & back.

Then she sheared her sump plug, dropped her oil, and ceased the engine solid. Instead of repairing that, I bought the SV.

Most of the time I ride because I'm commuting. Yes I could get a cheap car that ran on tuppence of fuel, but I live in North Wales. The roads around here are great for a bike.

However, I think nothing of going out on a sunny morning & wasting 3 tanks of fuel as well.
