I took cocodamol for severe pain in my shoulder following a (saved) highside. Worked a treat and no negative side effects for me. So much so I forgot I was on it (and hence the don't drink alcohol warning), before drinking 5 pints and feeling like I was walking on clouds. I slept like a baby that night.

I was on co-codamol and ibuprofen for a couple of weeks recently after an op on my thumb and I slept loads, had no appetite, didn't go to the loo all the time I was taking them and I got really depressed. Thumb didn't hurt too much though. But it did when I stopped taking them

Kwak, I was off work for 6 weeks and I honestly thought I would never miss work but I did after about the 3rd week of being stuck at home Daytime telly sucks!

Ahhhh Kwak you still enjoying your time off work. I am on week 5 and am SO bored. Got another 3 weeks til my next X-ray and know I have more time after.

What's ya secret? How you are you healing?

I finally gave up on the "no alcohol" rule last night, only had 5 bottles and then 2 tramadol before sleep. The tramadol decided not to work and I didn't have enough alcohol to send me to sleep .. aarrrggghhh.

my mate Pat got knocked off a customers bike by a bespectacled cage driver in Feb. Titanium plate in femur, and one in his left wrist....hes been wobblin around on crutches and IMO he is doing miracles to recover, however just when he thought he was getting somewhere they've now found that they missed two fractures and a piece of floating bone in the other wrist.....oh and top it all off the plate in the left wrist is coming away from the bone......and he really is getting kennel sick if you know what I mean...its driving him absolutely nuts
