Yes, when my friend got pulled and I was a passenger, I got out of the car went to the shop, then came back, got my takeaway out of the footwell and started eating it, whilst sitting in listening to them talking to my friend. I wondered why they didn't say anything, I didn't realise why.

Crazy thing is, the police who do this "educating" of drivers will jump in their own cars and quite happily speed all the way home.
To say, "I've seen them do it", might be stating the obvious!!

I moved over for a 'traffic car' last week, blues flashing and siren blaring, round a large very busy roundabout at 8.15am. After negotiating the roundabout they seemed to slow right down. They pulled into the police MOT & servicing centre 200 yards further down the road. Pathetic!

Oh yes, I've seen them go past my house (right next to a school I might add) at 60mph (in a thirty). The same people sit in a camera van at a bottom of a hill (which should be a 40 anyway) and catch anyone who charges up the hill, or comes a bit quick down it. It really instills respect for them in me.

I followed a fully marked police car down the M8 about 1/4 mile behind him at a steady 95 mph for 15 miles until I left the motorway a week or two ago. No blues and two's or nothing. Got home from work nice and quick 'cos all the usual fast lane loiterers moved over (for those down south the M8 is a two lane motorway).
