I don't see where slagging of wow's Harley is relevant at all? If somebody doesn't like Harleys then why litter this thread with their grievances? Start a 'why I don't like Harleys' thread. There is having a joke about someones choice of bike and there is slagging it off completely. Quite a difference!

Don't jump ship yet wow, this is the best bike forum on the interweb!
This is where it started yesterday. 'Looking at other bikes too - CBF600'

The first comment (lets not call it attack) was made yesterday in another thread).

Not really a step up from the sportster.

Lozzo says: I've ridden plenty of 125s that have been a step up from an 883 Sportster, and yes, I've ridden a couple of Sportsters too. (end quote)

to which I asked to keep it friendly and said i was not going to get into it.

Here's your chance.

Unprovoked slagging off in the name of freedom of speech. I can tell you it isn't nice. What else can I expect from you, that's what I'm worried about, a future of being constantly reminded of my admission that i ride a harley. Every little thing i say will now be an opportunity for you to get in there. Hm, doesn't look good does it.

Shock horror....Nick15 defending a womans honour.

IMHO this forum is all about banter/opinions/info and would be a worse place if it was any different. I don't agree with everything people post, but i certainly won't lose any sleep over it.

At the end of the day wow, its up to you whether you decide to stick around. However Nick's right...this is one of the best bike forums on the net. Its why i'm still here despite now owning a R6, which Lozzo also dislikes.

I dunno, I just don't see why every mention of a harley has to lead to the same predictable response. But Lozzo is one of the good ones, honest! This really is a good forum, I'd really say don't let a bad start put you off, and don't assume the worst of people. I understand why you'd take it the way you did but no offence was meant I'm sure.

I had a Virago 125- so Harleys are like race bikes to me

No, feel free, it was RUBBISH . But still kind of cool. 140 kilos wet and the centre of gravity was about 8 inches off the ground, lots of fun even on leather tyres.

I do apologise if you feel insulted, but I most certainly will not apologise for having or voicing an opinion.

You have my word I will never respond to any of your future posts with any mention of Harleys, even in a positive manner.

However, I do reserve the right to constantly call into question Northwind's sexuality, now he's admitted to once owning a Virago 125.
