exactly, it is just asking for trouble isn't it!!
![]() Having played with petrol quite a bit as a kid (I had field bikes so had fuel), I have seen how sudden it can ignite and the power and instantaneous heat that can be produced ... its not something to take unnecessary risks with ... I don't even like topping the bike up (via jerry can) after coming straight back in - you can feel the heat bellowing from the engine and exhaust still .. I have spilt fuel on a hot engine before and noting came of it, but again asking for trouble, so I try and avoid it!! ![]() Last edited by Blue_SV650S; 29-03-08 at 01:57 PM. |

Lets not forget most people out there are idiots of the highest order, i wouldnt let them outside never mind in control of a can full of petrol....

I pushed my Kawa GPZ 2 miles backwards along the M4 when I ran out of gas then up a huge hill towards the fuel station. I found a big pop bottle in the weeds so carried it off to the station to save pushing the bike another half mile. They wouldn't let me fill it to walk back to the bike
